Accounting at the Gateway: Florida City
The last stop before the Keys and the Everglades is a real business town, and its owners deserve real tax help.
Every traveler bound for the Keys or the Everglades passes through Florida City, and its economy is built on that geography: hotels and gas stations along the US-1 gateway, the outlet mall pulling retail traffic off the highway, trucking and produce operations moving South Dade's harvest north, and hard-working service businesses along Palm Drive and Krome Avenue serving one of the county's youngest, most determined communities.
Integris Accounting treats Florida City businesses with the same seriousness as any Brickell client. Hospitality operators get help with tourist and sales tax layers, fuel and convenience retailers get inventory and high-volume reconciliation done right, truckers and haulers get fuel tax and equipment planning, and every owner gets a bilingual CPA who explains decisions clearly before deadlines arrive. Books, payroll, returns and IRS matters, handled, year-round.
Gateway economies ride the tourism calendar, and businesses that boom in season can starve in September if taxes weren't planned around the curve. Our continuous engagement builds the plan into the year: reserves funded during peak months, estimates trued to actual income, licenses and filings calendared so nothing lapses. For owners building something lasting at the edge of the map, steady numbers are the foundation.

Getting to our office from Florida City
Florida City is the Turnpike's southern terminus, so head north from the first entrance and continue onto SR-874 (Don Shula Expressway), then briefly north on SR-826 to the Bird Road exit. Follow Bird Road east into Coral Gables and turn right on Ponce de Leon Blvd; 4000 Ponce stands beside the Shops at Merrick Park, about fifty minutes total.
A garage in the building and metered spots outside cover the occasional visit north, y por supuesto, la videollamada siempre es una opción más rápida.
By appointment only, our Coral Gables office isn't set up for walk-ins, so most Florida City clients meet us by video.

They set up our whole financial side before we opened and it's the reason our first season went smoothly. Bilingual, patient and sharp.

FAQ
CPA services in Florida City, common questions
Do you work with hotels and motels along the US-1 gateway in Florida City?
Yes, gateway lodging is a distinct business model with heavy seasonality, OTA commissions and layered tourist development, sales and resort taxes. We reconcile the platform payouts, keep the tax accounts filed correctly and build financial statements that show true performance by season, which matters enormously when you refinance or sell.
My trucking business runs produce from Florida City to markets up north. Can you handle IFTA?
Fully. We manage IFTA quarterly filings from your mileage and fuel records, keep Form 2290 current, plan depreciation on tractors and reefers and structure driver or owner pay correctly. Interstate hauling multiplies the paperwork; our job is making sure it never multiplies your penalties.
I'm opening a business serving Everglades and Keys tourists. What should I set up first?
Four foundations before opening day: the right entity registered properly, sales and tourist tax accounts opened, a simple bookkeeping system that captures cash and card revenue cleanly and a realistic estimate calendar for your first profitable year. Two hours of setup with us prevents most of the problems new tourist-corridor businesses bring us later.
Can you help a small landscaping crew in Florida City grow into a real company?
That path is one we know well: formalizing the entity, moving helpers onto legal payroll, tracking jobs so pricing reflects true costs and building the financial records that unlock equipment financing and commercial contracts. Growth is a sequence of unglamorous steps, we keep them in the right order and affordable.
