Tax & Accounting for Fort Lauderdale

Broward's business capital runs on boats, buildings and billable hours, we speak all three.

Fort Lauderdale long ago outgrew its spring-break reputation. Today it's Broward's commercial capital: law firms and financial offices filling the towers off Las Olas, one of the world's great marine industries clustered around its 165 miles of waterways, Port Everglades moving cargo and cruise passengers at national scale, and a construction boom reshaping Flagler Village and the beachfront. The business community is substantial, sophisticated and growing younger every year.

Integris Accounting serves Fort Lauderdale clients who want senior-level attention without big-firm bureaucracy. We provide tax strategy and compliance for firms and their partners, accounting and CFO support for contractors and marine businesses, and portfolio-level planning for the investors buying into Broward's growth. Distance is no obstacle, our TaxDome portal and video-first cadence make the Coral Gables office a destination for milestone meetings, not monthly errands.

Growth markets create tax complexity faster than owners notice: a second entity here, an out-of-state client there, a property sold at an unexpected gain. Annual-only accounting lets those changes accumulate into April surprises. Our year-round engagement catches them as they happen, structures adjusted, estimates retuned, opportunities like cost segregation or retirement design captured while they're still worth the most.

FAQ

CPA services in Fort Lauderdale, common questions

Does it make sense to use a Coral Gables CPA from Fort Lauderdale?

If the fit is right, geography is a footnote. Our engagements run through a secure portal, video meetings and scheduled calls, the same way you'd work with a firm three blocks away. Fort Lauderdale clients typically visit once or twice a year for deep planning sessions and handle everything else remotely.

Do you understand the marine industry's accounting quirks?

We do, South Florida's boatyards, brokers, charter operators and marine services firms deal with inventory floor plans, deposits on long build cycles, charter income sourcing and sales tax rules unique to vessels. We keep those moving parts organized and plan taxes around the industry's long revenue cycles rather than fighting them.

Our Las Olas firm's partners each have different tax situations. Can you help the group?

That's a standard engagement for us. We work at both levels: the firm's books, payroll and entity filings, plus individual planning for partners whose outside investments, spousal income and retirement goals differ. Coordinated advice prevents the classic problem of firm-level decisions that help one partner and hurt another.

I'm buying small commercial buildings in Flagler Village. What tax planning applies?

Plenty. Cost segregation studies can accelerate depreciation dramatically on renovated properties, commercial rents in Florida carry sales tax obligations owners sometimes miss, and how you structure each acquisition affects your exit options. We plan purchase by purchase while keeping the portfolio's long-term picture, including eventual exchanges, in view.

Can you review a business I'm thinking of buying in Fort Lauderdale?

Yes, financial due diligence is one of the highest-value services we offer. We examine the target's books for revenue quality, hidden liabilities and owner add-backs that don't survive scrutiny, then model the tax consequences of asset versus stock purchase structures. An objective read before you sign routinely changes the price, the terms or the decision.
